The Polk TC60i In-Ceiling speakers are one of the contenders for rear surround in my HT build. I'm going to use an acoustic back box to reduce the sounds heard in the adjacent rooms.
Does anyone know what is the minumum size this box should be?

You might try contact Polk's customer service to see if give a specific size for the backbox.
A rough guess would be between .75-1.0 cu ft.Tschüss

OK - I'll do that - I may be restricted to 0.45 cu ft

Got email back from Polk supportHi, we'd really recommend 1.0 cubic foot if you can do it. If not, then just make the largest box you can and fill it 50% with polyfill or dacron (pillow stuffing).
So looks like I need to find a creative way of increasing the volume in the box.
