One of the last non-SACD hardware manufacturers have finally given in (joining NAD, Cambridge Audio and Harman Kardon this year). While Arcam's website still has a pro-DVD-A technical paper (pdf file), it has announced its first universal player, the DV137 (another pdf file). The DV137 is so new that it's not even on Arcam's website.

HDMI video scaler to 1080p? whoa, is it real? maybe this is the answer to my pray, a universal player that will do EVERY audio and video formats, with the exception of HD-DVD and BR, which I am willing to have a separate box to do this.

Interesting! thanks for posting this, Danny!
I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

Now, all we need is some damn software.
