Not really.... then again I've lived alone since freshman year of college. I don't handle roommates well... :)
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

Only once, right out of school. That ended in about 6 months. I still struggle with slobs.

Im almost to clean - so most everyone that will ever live with me will be considered a slob in my book.

Im the kind of guy that details his truck every week and takes everything out of his room every 6 months to clean/wash everything, walls/moulding, etc included.

    Im the real clean shady.

Story of my life with roommates. Every one that I have had has been a complete slob. I have learned to handle it better. I keep my stuff clean and just accept their mess. It's getting old and I am definitely done with it next lease period. I only stuck with it as long as I have to keep being able to sock money away. Plus I am still young enough where city living and such is a good thing, and it's really expensive to live alone down here.

i am the slob. look at it this way...if you clean everything up and put it where its supposed to be, its only bound to get messed up later so why clean up in the first place?

Spend 10-15 minutes a day keeping things tidy saves you from the 10 hour scramble to clean up when you're going to have guests over. It's much easier that way unless you have no shame whatsoever, and hey...I have seen those types as well.

Score! Ditto that one here as well!
There is no genuine justice in any scheme of feeding and coddling the loafer whose only ponderable energies are devoted wholly to reproduction. Nine-tenths of the rights he bellows for are really privileges and he does nothing to deserve them. We not only acquired a vast population of morons, we have inculcated all morons, old or young, with the doctrine that the decent and industrious people of the country are bound to support them for all time.-Menkin

One of my slob roommates once left out his anal egg vibrator on his desk. He was a slob, and this was the worst of it. I could never look at him the same after that. Thank goodness I realized what it was before I touched it.

In college I had two roommates one year who were polar opposites. One was an ex-marine, not naturally blessed of college, but neat, organized, and studious as all hell. The other was a natural genius (I.Q. 148), lazy, ice tea drinker of between 5-7 gallons per day, and the biggest slob alive. Every semester he would sign up for about 12 hours of classes which he would rarely attend, then drop out after the refund date. In his bedroom was 135 gallon, 75 gallon, (2) 20 gallon tanks, and 3 smaller ones. On the floor was bird seed, fish food flakes, various food wrappers, endless cans of pop with tobacco spit, and various forms of clothing, magazines, etc. He didn't wash his sheets from the time he moved in (June) until the following March, when the place had to be fumagated for cockroaches. Sadly, he blew his entire inheritancy and never did complete more than 3 semesters of college, inspite of his naturaltalent and fascination for marine biology. Last I saw of him he was working as a tech geek at Best Buy at age 37.
