Russound ACT-1 Trigger Karma

No, not a firearm related Karma, a Russound ACT-1 12volt DC Triggered 120VAC Outlet Karma. It has a 10 amp breaker so it can pass some juice through it. Hook up a big amp or a powerstrip controlling numerous devices.

I got this to power up an older 5 channel amp without a 12 volt trigger. Once I got behind the entertainment center I realized my power center had four 12 volt triggered outlets so I'll pass it on. It sells for around $55 on the web, and every now and then you see one on the 'bay for less.

The drawback, it requires 100mA of 12VDC to trip it. Some AVR's only put out 25mA and that won't do it. So you would have to get a 12VDC 100mA AC transformer to plug into a switched outlet to trip this thing.

This is an unrestricted Karma open to all CP members. It must be for your own use so no selling it, or the Karma police will hunt you down. If you can't use it, pass it on.

If you want in, say, ignoring quotes, "In please" and use the word trigger in a sentence. Karma ends April 30, Sunday afternoon, 4PM CST.

DO NOT put me in, but I gotta make a sentence! :D

    When I get a M16, should I get a burst or full-auto trigger group? :D

I've had both, but prefer the full auto trigger group and to control the bursts with my finger. Now a ratcheting burst control would have been handy on the M-14 with standard stock to control muzzle rise, but they were much more controlable fitted with the M14E2 'Buck Rogers' stock.

I'd like to thank SCompRacer for his generosity on this karma. The ACT-1 will live a well cared and happy life turning on the Acurus amp in the stereo cabinet. I hope to dig up something from storage that will "trigger" more acts of karma.

    regards

Your most welcome. Not many names in the hat on this Karma.

Most transformers have the wrong type of connector but you can get adapters. Or lop one off a donor and solder it on.

    Njoy!
