A little airing out of dirty laundry

Ok first off, I left the forum for several months to take a break, catch up on more importent things in life.. so fast forward i come back, new outlook.. I'm working now, getting caught up on bills.. things are looking good. I ignore a few stupid comments from the usual people and am welcomed back by some of my friends.. Great right?

This thread needs NO response, i know thier will be but please for the sake of the thought of the posting.. I don't need a back scratch or a beating..

Ive made some mistakes on here, have a hot head and am easily provoked. there i said it, been told not to leave by friends on here and welcomed back no questions asked. and then you have the select few who can't let things die, accuse me of **** forum members.. being the worst member on here.. yada yada the list go's on..

I just want to say, i have had ENOUGH!! I don't want to leave again, i just want to talk, answer questions, ask questions... sell stuff, buy stuff and be a regular member.. If i made mistakes, i admit it... you guys say to others, OH just make things right and things are back to normal and i can't disagree more.. that's not the way it works around here.. I get accused of useing my hardships or my families to my favor.. what by saying i need the money when i sell something?

This is not what this post is all about... I want to appologize publically to anyone who think i did them wrong.. if i did i never knew or meant to.. I have never NOT paid for something, i have never NOT sent an item sold.. if i owed money i have paid everything.

I decided to PM a member to keep things clean and off the public forum because i was so erratated with the comments and i still wanted to show i was now above this public fighting.. of course the responses were full of how awful i am and a bunch of other redderick..

Please understand, I will not fight on this board anymore but its hard to keep this promise when you are poked and prodded everyday, every other post, even in the story thread i hear smart comments.. If you think this is the FAMILY you all speak off.. its not any family i know of.. or want to be a part of..

I am just stating some facts, making some appologies and want to get along with life, on here..

Don't think i havent noticed the lack of responses in my threads i start.. everyone who bought any of my stuff wouldn't post in the threads but strictly in PM.. It just gets tirsome..

and comments about my family, my wife or the way we live our life is totally uncalled for. I do not use them for a crutch, excuse or reason for anything.. I love my wife sick or not and if any of you had any empathy what do ever you wouldn't make the comments either in public or Pm that you do..

I'm sure this post will start a **** storm and it will be closed down because you guys want to draw things out and start even more stuff..

Id like to say, in closing ..

I'm not leaving the board, I have friends on here and i plan to keep those friendships, If i have done something wrong and its not taken care of let me know, i'll fix it and we can end it.. done deal, end of story.. you have secrets you want to hold over my head, air it and be done with it..

Cliff, you and i have never had any problems with each other. It's good to air out things like this publicly every now and then. If someone wrongs me.. i just put them on ignore.. so far you ain't on my ignore list. ;)

Seems that things in the past may have been between you and a few people... not the entire forum.. sounds like you've said your peace. If people still have a problem with it.. that's their issue. Don't sweat it any more.

Faster, if you make it so easy to be bothered, than people are going to bother you. its human nature. I dont mean it to be insulting or anything, to the contrary, I've never had a prob with ya, and am aware of nothing major except legendary ballbusting in multiple directions. It seemed to be going on long before I got here, and to be honest, wasnt my prob, so I didnt care.
You get botherred waaaay to easily. cant give people that power, as I said, human nature dictates that if you give someone that power, there gonna use it. I've said it before, I'll say it again. there words on a computer, thats it. You cant let them bother you that much, if you let something stew for longer than 10 minutes after you leave the keyboard, than you just have to stop dude.

    Cliff,

Just a friendly suggestion. Ignore them... I've had my tiffs with some people here. I just stopped getting sucked in and things ended up better after a while. Try it and quite making everything about you vs. them and everything will be allright.

Hmmmmm....I KNOW I should probably keep my mouth shut but, you guys know me. I can't.

Here is what happened. Since Cliff came back, I made a couple of smartass comments about Cliff coming back. I shouldn't have, but I did.
I decided to PM a member to keep things clean and off the public forum because i was so erratated with the comments and i still wanted to show i was now above this public fighting.. of course the responses were full of how awful i am and a bunch of other redderick..

Cliff sends me a nasty PM and I responded in kind. He replied again and I replied again. In fact, I have ZERO issues with them being made public as long as they are posted chronologically and completely. However, The contents aren't important (but highly entertaining).

My issue is that Cliff wants it to seem like he sent off an innocent PM and that he was attacked unprovoked which is just not the case. However, that seems to be Cliff's M.O.....the innocent victim. Now, I'm not a saint but I'm also not going to sling rocks from the porch of my glass house either.

In conclusion, Cliff, post away. I'll even try to keep my piehole shut. However, if you poke me with a stick, don't act surprised when I growl back.

    Well which is it?

Did your comments provoke a PM from him or did a PM from him provoke your comments? If the former, I would say that you are the instigator and couldn't leave well enough alone. If the latter then the reverse.

    Just my 2 cents... :)

J.H.C. Cliff.....you act like 'families' never fight or have problems. If you don't want a response to a thread, don't post it. You wanted people to coddle you and you'll have that I'm sure. BTW, in the 'story' thread, you made a snide comment before anyone (me) went at you, so I'm hoping that your memory of this particular event was just a mishap, not a sign that things have remained the same. (to refresh your memory, this was the first pointed comment made by anyone, and you did this in post number 12......"He asked for all the Hardcore members to get together for a fight of thier lives, They were overjoyed as they had done this before, so they set forth on thier magic journey into")

It happens WAY too often and with too much regularity for you to air your laundry here........that's my issue. If you want to make a concerted effort at moving on, quit living in the past and accept your part in the responsibility for how you are treated. Other people taunt, sure, but you act like you're the only person that has ever been ribbed here on this site and it's very reminiscent of Jstas.

I hope you don't flip out and go back to ranting and raving (ala 2 months ago, 6 months ago, a year ago, a few years ago, etc). None of us like people that play victimized, and I don't think the reaction you've received in reaction to your behavior is unwarranted.

Lastly, if you have certain problems with just a certain few people, address them via PM's. I think it's weak to post a thread like this acting like you want to be a better person (but only if the meanies leave you alone)......blah.

    Good luck.

Other than that, no comment. I'm too new and young to let Internet stuff bother me... it's just for relaxing, unwinding, learning new stuff and talking about a hobby.

As other's have said, if it's taken further than that, way too serious!!

    Serious question.

What exactly does the ignore feature do?
Do you not see posts from that person anymore?

Near as I can tell, the only comments that I made to Cliff were here:
    http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?t=38931&page=2

Last night Cliff mentioned something about going out on his fishing boat and I replied something about his financial woes have apparently evaporated.

I may have referenced him elsewhere but honestly can't tell. Again, no saint here but, I'll leave him alone.

    *wince*

Depending on the presence or absence of smilies, I can see how this might have struck a nerve, albeit perhaps unintentionally.

Sometimes people assume that when someone is going through financial hardship that they should literally sell off everything they own. It's easy to make that presumption on the outside looking in. Having gone through financially desparate times earlier in my life, you have to keep something that makes you happy... otherwise it's hard to keep things going (and I'm assuming that the boat in question is purely recreational and not used in any income-generating capacity). I don't know how new or old this boat is, whether it was paid for or not. That's not the point.

Heck, people going through bankruptcy aren't forced to liquidate everything they own. Why should you insist that he does, especially since you don't know all the facts? [I'm assuming that you don't. If you do know all the details, then my apologies]

Anyway, I'm rambling too much. I think you may have hit a raw nerve at the wrong time... *shrug*
