Looking for some killer blues/jazz/classical etc. CDs

I have just finished my listening/theater room in the basement with my line arrays and IB sub, have it equalized and sounding phenomenal. The only problem is I don't have many CDs that are mixed well and none of them fall out of the rock genre except for my wife's Norah Jones CDs that I enjoy listening to. I played saxaphone for 8 years in school, have taken piano lessons and am currently learning guitar. I have a deep appreciation for music (duh, that's why we're on this board) and want to expand my listening out of the rock/metal that has infatuated me for the last 15 years of my life (I'm 25). Now, don't get me wrong, I will be a metalhead for the rest of my life, it's just that I really want some killer "instrumental" music that I can sit back and enjoy in my new listening room.
With that, do you guys have any CDs you're tired of that you'd like to sell that are mixed extremely well and really get you into the music? I'm willing to trust your opinions and purchase anything you guys have, and even if I don't like it I won't come back questioning your choice
I'd also be interested in paying two-way shipping of any CDs you don't want to get rid of but you feel I may enjoy and wouldn't mind letting me listen to them for a week or two, to help me pick out some favorites that I could purchase on my own. If anything would get damaged, and I wouldn't question you, I would pay full replacement value of the CD(s) without question. I am extremely miticulous with my gear and CDs so I don't think you'd have anything to worry about, but rest assured in case something did happen I'd cover it 100%.
I really don't know anything about jazz/blues and classical and would hate to go out and spend the money and dislike what I got. I just thought of this idea and know it couldn't hurt to ask you guys. If you can help me out, shoot me a PM and we'll go from there.
Thanks!

I was also in Rock for the longest time (20+ years!!!) till I upgraded my music system ... since then I've also been trying to expand my horizons beyond rock. Here are some suggestions ...
1) Erin Boheme
2) Dave Brubeck
3) Smooth Jazz - Jan Garbarek, Rick Braun & Washington Grover Jr.
4) Acoustic Alchemy
5) Michael Buble - it's a little soppy music
6) Diana Krall
7) Ray Charles (there are 2 CDs where he plays with other artists)
8) Blues - Keb Mo and Robert Cray
9) Christian Scott
If you do a search on this forum, you will find LOTS of Jazz recommendations ...Distant Dream - A New Beginning

btw ... I think you'll like Christian Scott (http://www.christianscott.net) since he's a mix between rock and jazz and it's perfect for folks like us making the transition from rock to jazz etc.
Also, try Pandora (www.pandora.com) if you want to experiment with new music. I don't think there is a better way to explore new music ...Distant Dream - A New Beginning

Great thread Mazeroth as I will be writing these down. I too have always been in the rock to bluesy rock (stones, zz top, etc.) genre and am really interested in expanding my musical appreciation. I have just acquired all of my equipment in the last 3 months and have finally reached a maturity level that has caused me to be interested in other genres. The few things that I have heard outside of rock have sounded insanely good. It is making me realize just how crappy a lot of rock really is (sound wise I mean). Hope others will post suggestions as well. Thanks.

Try out some classical music, also. I've listened to some truly guttaral pieces that will blow you away. Check out the Telarc site, they have some very good recordings. Telarc International
Some of these are hybrids, but they will have a PCM layer. Have you thought about SACD???;) -

Can you offer any suggestions? As far as SACD I honestly have never heard anything played in this format (stop laughing). Something I have thought of but not sure where the future is going. Some say dead. Me unknown and waiting for things to be more mainstream if you will.
