I had a dream last night that I was at Russman's house, listening to music, trying different equipment, etc. Russman gave me an amplifier that was about the size of a cigarette pack, was powered by 2 AA batteries, and produced 600watts per channel...
It's wierd the **** your subconscious comes up with..

Good thing it produces 600 watts instead of vibrate.If...
Ron dislikes a film = go out and buy it.
Ron loves a film = don't even rent. -
it would have been really cool if it were driven by watch batteries. Hmmm, give me something to think about.

Well, here is a tube amplifier that meets most of your dream criteria (except the 600 watt bit).

... here's a rather nice use of a watch battery, powering a Nixie tube display wristwatch.

Well, for what it's worth, Bob Carver had your amp in his play/plan book. A car stereo amp "the size of a pack of cigarettes" that would deliver 300wpc RMS. Anybody think he wouldn't have delivered on that one?
-
"Sideshow Bob" Carver? He'd have delivered... but the early-adopters would have to purchase Halon fire-suppression systems for their listening space :-)

Just kidding, George...

I'll bet those tubes burned the bear's a$$ on the Sleepytime tea box:eek: Good tea!Carl
