Not unless you're just wanting to spend more money. I've learned a lot from the guys on this site as well as others and I'm sure they'll say to just get some decent wire and be done with it. Knukoncepts, Stinger, etc. all sell good wire. Provide some more info: what speakers, amps, etc. you'll be running and more info will surely come your way.

That is possibly the biggest rip off, scam and out and out B.S. (Barbera Streisand) product Ive ever seen! Although, I betcha could sell it over on the home audio side! :D

um... that's a highpass filter for your tweets, if i'm not very much mistaken...

At first I thought so too and then asked myself just why would you want to cross your tweets over at 2800 MEGAhertz?

That looks to me like some snake oil youre supposed to stick in line with your speaker wires to "cut down on distortion".

lol. I love how when something is found to help in car audio, sites sell it for 10x what you can get it for at other places. All that is is a bass blocker, but for a tweeter. Cut the little jacket off and im sure youll see a cap under there.

Its like polyfill, you can get 5 lbs for a few bucks at wal mart but go to cardomain and its like $13/lb...lol

Will a cap help cut out distortion? Not exactly. It's more to cut back on feedback and grounding issues. Sure it also is a tweeter crossover but in a way, it can help cut out distortion for a tweeter in a small way. Would I spend $5 on it? Nah. A good component set will already have those built into the crossover and who honestly would add a tweeter to a coax speaker? No thanks.

But it lists 2800 MEGA hertz. Thats 2,800,000,000 hertz, not 2800. Needless to say, thats just a tad out of range for most humans hearing. ;)
Ideal for car audio speakers, the Install Edge 2800MHz 4 Ohm Speaker Saver Cap helps reduce distortion while you rock to your favourite tunes.

alrite i wont buy it, just ive been working on getting rid of a really fine humming noise for a while, i dont notice it most of the time but when i do it pisses me off so ne little bit would help. btw ive read every article on getting rid of the noise and ive gotten rid of most of it but this just doesnt go away and i do have a component system and the noise is coming from the tweeters and they sell those at other ranges not just 28000

two hints - use punctuation (of any kind... i'm partial to ellipses...) and spring for the extra letter on 'any', instead of 'ne'... it will make us all much much happier... other than that, welcome to the board!

yes, they sell those sorts of things at many points, but that's not likely to be your problem. if you can tell us precisely what you have, and what you've tried to do to get rid of the noise, and precisely what kind of noise it is (e.g. does it change with the engine RPM, does it go away when you turn the car off, does the noise get louder when you turn the volume up, etc.), we can help you much more effectively.

Even if that was a high pass filter at 2800 million hertz, youd never know if it would work because human hearing stops somewhere around 18 thousand hertz.
