Many of you have probably already seen it but a Polk equipped Honda Civic is featured in the latest Car Audio and Electronics. If you are looking for examples of Thom's installs go grab the June issue. Very impressive install and nice to see Polk in the press.

Very cool! If Im not mistaken, this months issue is the annual buyers guide and they usually only have one vehicle featured in those. That makes it much more prestigious! Attaboy Thom and Josh!

They actually have two vehicles featured one of which is the Polk Honda Civic. The other is a BMW645. They also have a "special feature" on a 06 VW Passat factory system. Of course to me the most interesting is the Polk Civic. I liked the use of DB grilles on the SRs to show off the drivers with the painted phase plug. I also like the fact that the car is actually driveable although there is not a lot of space for items (of course I am use to a truck so probably no Civic would have a lot of space to me).

I saw that the other day when the magazine arrived at my house. I would rather look at the Polk type of install than the other outlandish stuff. I think Alpine has gone off the deep end with their demo vehicles.

Yeah, I thought their Civic from the year before last was pretty stupid and their recent BMW aint much better.

I am in awe of their engineering and fabrication skills though, no disputing their talent, its just that I think a car audio demo car should resemble an actual car. Call me crazy.

and be drivable... I mean it IS a car. Plus, it seems they also put all their effort into making the car look all crazy and almost like the system is the 2nd thought. No thanks. I'll stick with the Polk 'vic

Totally agree with you guys. Those guys are awsome installers, but how about putting that energy into something you can actually drive and enjoy...

Tony stewart bought a old 84 cadillac hearse last year. He wanted to fix up something totally different that no else has really done before.

So he chose some of the best in the business to rework it. He got steve brown from alpine to do the up front stuff since he was using alpine up front.

Then he chose gary biggs of jbl for amps and subs. A guy from metra by the name of dave fishman rivera also helped with the install.

He also had unique autosports to step in for wiring and upholstery. Keith rowland from unique handled that.

It's bad **** you will have to see it for yourself to believe it. All of his gauge's are like in his race car and so forth.

In the back of the hearse he has four JBL GTI 12's. He has two 2200x1 JBL amps mounted in the side walls one on each side which is visible. There is a airbushed skull at the back where the back door opens.
