I was in college 10 miles from there. It was a very strange day.
There is no genuine justice in any scheme of feeding and coddling the loafer whose only ponderable energies are devoted wholly to reproduction. Nine-tenths of the rights he bellows for are really privileges and he does nothing to deserve them. We not only acquired a vast population of morons, we have inculcated all morons, old or young, with the doctrine that the decent and industrious people of the country are bound to support them for all time.-Menkin

I used to live about a mile from Columbine HS and had a neice and nephews that lived a stones throw from the campus. I was already in Colorado Springs when it happened but some of the people I used to work with had kids in school there.

It's still a major news item here whenever there's talk of another shooting at a school.

The two pieces of scum that committed this terrible are burning in hell, unfortunetly the parents and family members of the victims are living a nightmare that won't ever end.

one of many sad days in US history. I work for a TV station.. and we were receiving video from several different sources that day. I can vividly remember those images of that student climbing out the window from the second floor like it was just yesterday.

Consider yourselves lucky... that you didn't see some of the images I saw being fed down on the network satellite feeds. It was horrific.

I was the senior J2 rep down in the Command Center in STRATCOM that day, I was filtering real-time intel for the O-6 J3 Controller, but transfixed and horrified watching the TV coverage.

As a Denver resident I can tell you that day will never be forgotten. Some scars never heal, nor should they.

Several of my former students were at Columbine that day. From what I understand one of them was in the room where the teacher died. Plus, one of my close high school friends taught there as well.

I'll never forget the idiot reporter for a New York newspaper bitching about the lack of information getting to them that night, and what he perceived as the lack of quality media relations by the jefferson County Sheriffs office..
