I think that might be some new stuff for this except for monster and velodyne that nobody's talked about since I've been around. But what do you think that could sound like? I can't find prices for any of that stuff. That is a completely THX certified Home Theater system.

There are two THX gear rules:
1. Don't buy because it is THX cert'd...
2. Don't not buy because it is THX cert'd...More later,

take THX with a grain of salt?
i'm not even sure what that means or relates to. It just sounds right.
THX is just a certification, but it's by no means important, plenty of great gear doesn't get the certification, maybe not because they dont' want it, just they don't need it to sell their product.

While having THX certification may give you some piece of mind when buying lower end components, I wouldn't hesitate buying quality higher end components without it. Heck, I don't even use THX mode on my reciever, I prefer DD-EX or DD+PL2x for my theater sound.
