Specify "work". I've done something to it but I wouldn't consider it "work". I'm still trying to get it 100% mechanically.

No mainly because I was still under the dillusion that I could be competitive in SQ competitions using only the head units EQ. Day late and a dollar short, story of my life.

Actually, the head units that can control it start at $500 and I didnt want to dump $500 on a head unit with no time alignment and have to wait 8 months or so to save up another $500 for the 701. With my 9855 I spent $400 and have TA and a halfway decent EQ. I thought this was the better deal.

The Audiocontrol EQS is not a bad option. Its only a 13 bander but it is a 6 channel and can be had for $300'ish. But then again I really do want to go active with my crossovers. Ugh, looks like another $700 soon to be spent.

Eclipse would have given you 10 parametric bands Mac ;). Five for the midrange and five for the tweeter. Plus the ability to measure the frequency response in your car.

For $400 with 6 channel, manual time alignment adjustment? I know the $700 CD7000 has all those goodies, but for $700 I could get the H701!

Im not really regretting my choice. The 9855 is the best head unit for the money at least for my needs.

I want to get a mannequin (spelling? - the big plastic people that they hang clothes on in stores) and have it fiberglassed to look real... then, put clothes on it, dress it up, and have a hole cut in its chest -- build a sub box in the hole... then have blood coming out of the area around the hole... and put big blood shot googley eyes on the guy... and put him in the trunk of the cadillac... i think people would find it interesting.

anybody wanna make me a mannequin box ??

I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. I remember someone getting caught up there in the carpool lane with a manikin :D. Probably picked up a nice little fine for that one.
