Product - Definitive Technology BP10B
Condition -
The caps are very marked up, they will have to be refinished. See pricing details/ideas below. They grill socks are brand spanking new as are the crossover components and post.
Color - High gloss black (caps)
Features -
Dual 6.5" Homopolymer Midbasses
Dual 1" Aluminum Dome Tweeters with a Silk Surround for the detail of a metal dome and the smoothness of a soft dome.
Modified Crossovers with a reworked tweeter stage for cleaner and more detailed sound. The caps were replaced with Dayton caps, the tweeter network resistors are mills. The binding post have been upgraded to gold plated dayton posts.
Crossover mods were performed by JCaut. (Respected Member Here)
They also have brand new grill socks that were put on when I picked them up about a year or so ago.
Optional -
Modified Enclosure with 220" of extra bracing made of 3/4" birch plywood. The enclosure is an exact replica with a textured black base finish and a gloss cedar side panel (both sides). No grills. Mirror imaged drivers. They also feature upgraded foam pads that are more acoustically fit than the stock version.
These speakers sound fantastic, especially with the modifications performed, they are excellent for HT and great for music with excellent low end extention.
The caps need to be refinished (for stock enclosures), which I plan to get done before they are sold to anyone (if interested) - they will be done professionally.
$400 Local Pick up

Ok, I admit it... I'm not interested, but I read the thread anyway...
Sid, you might want to post a link to the old thread where you were doing the mod'd cab's. I'm not sure the pics alone show just how much effort and care went into them.More later,
Tour...

Anyone going to the gathering...
Can have them for 450 - thats with wooden crates, hand built by me.
But you only get the DIY versions, I can only make a crate to haul one pair of enclosures.
So 450, you're getting a 1,000 dollar pair of speakers, 90 dollars worth of xover mods and 200 dollars worth of enclosure modifications, with solid wood and bullet proof bracing/enclosure design.- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -
Price Change - $400.00 - local pick up.
Thats with ORIGINAL AND MODDED ENCLOSURES.

Anybody know how well these things would sing with 8 tube watts? I'm seriously tempted...George Grand wrote: »
