I have a karaoke player called Audio 2000 AKJ7150. It has L & R audio output.
I hooked the wires from DVd player --> Karaoke --> Receiver --> Speakers 5.1
I have other wires from dvd player --> receiver with fiber optical for Movies.
The problem is that the karaoke only go to front speakers, there are no sound on center, surround, subwoofer speakers. Is that normal? is it possible to make it 5.1 for karaoke?
I think that the karaoke dvd are L&R output.
So I added another wire from karaoke --> subwoofer speaker to have more bass.
What the best way to setup for karaoke?

You can manually select 5.1 channel on your Receiver.

If the Karoke only outputs in stereo (red/white) then you hook into the receiver and use one of the DSP like Enhanced 7, Circle Surround or other such thing to get sound from all your speakers, the Dolby stuff wont work as it read digital information which your karoke machine does not deliver.

If you have Pro-LogicII, it should give you something close to 5.1 You can't get 5.1 because the format is only stereo.
If you don't have DPLII, try some DSP modes.
