Okay so I broke down and bought this title on release day despite having it for the original XBox. Well I must say that I am happy with the re-release. They have upgraded the graphics of coarse, and have added four new maps to Xbox live.

Single Player: Is actually pretty damn good, I have only played a mission or two, but I have watched my son go through it, and he is having a blast. Story line is classic military story line. Country _______(fill in the blank) has crossed it border in Region_______. They now have control over their nukes, and the whole world is in peril. Here comes the USA to save the day.

Multiplayer: Here is where the title shines. There is still a "fog" effect on some of the maps, but the detail is just insane. Not G.R.A.W. insane, but damn close. The vehicles are still the same, but driving them is great. Helo's seem a little more stable in the air.
The new maps are very good, they are small, but I like them small because I feel the action is more intense. Also on the new "snow/cold" maps they have added a new vehichle...the snowmobile. Oh and not your everyday snowmobile, this one has some nice SMG's mounted on the front for your shooting pleasure.
One thing they did ramp up to the max is the ragdoll effect. If you have the PC version you will know what I am talking about. On the xbox version you would sometimes die and it would be funny, but now this puts your death, your team mates death's, and of coarse your enemies death at a all time gut busting, laugh out loud, tear drawing fun fest.
Scenerio 1: I was in a building on the map Backstab, I placed a nice chunk of c4 on the wall next to the only entrance. I waited patiently for some unexpecting fool. As he walked through the door, I lit him up good, but the ragdoll kicked in and he proceeded to ricochet of the wall's at least four times. So damn funny. This happens all the time. From blowing up a tank and seeing someone launch 50 feet in the air, to grenading someone one next to a light pole and seeing his body stick to the top to the light post 20 feet in the air. It has to be something witnessed, damn funny.

So there it is fellas. Not to shabby of a game.

so, if I gave COD2 an 8/10, and GRAW a 9/10 ratings, what would you give BF2? the still shots seem pretty impressive, and I am awaiting Brothers in Arms release. Thanks.
I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

I would give this game a solid 7.5/10. The reason why is because the single player, while fun is unmemorable, you won't be "wowed" with it.

If you are on Live and invest some time on Live with it then the score really ramps up. My son and I play it together on Live. After one of us dies, the other takes control and plays until they die...back and forth it goes, and a round lasts about 15-20 minutes on Conquer/conquest (basically capture the flag...usually at least 5 flags), so you basically play at least 5-6 times each per round.

I play ranked matches, so right now I am classes at Sergent 1st Class. But you can rank up to a four star general. And I do not think you have to play ranked games to move up in military class. You can play unranked games and still move up.

So far I have invested about 20 hours on Live with it, so I have to say that it has been one of the better Live games. GRAW is great on Live, but I find myself getting booted for no reason. GRAW is very unstable on live for some reason. EA servers on BF2 have been extremely stable, have yet to be kicked from one.

    A few other small factiods.

I like the fact that there are ammo & health stations around each map (Usually near a flag) It's nice to recharge yourself after a wicked battle, then go at it again. While not realistic, BF2 was never intended to be that way. DICE wanted it to be more of an arcade type FPS.

2 Negatives I thought of through the night.

    1) I lose my voice connection after three rounds or so. I have no idea why. But for a very odd reason you really do not need the voice. Sure it is nice to communicate, but for the most part I am off doing my own thing, sure it is not great for team based games, but there are enough people around that they can talk to themselves for all I care. Now if Demi or **** was in the room it would be dfferent, but right now I really do not miss it.

    2) They (EA/DICE) still left the dots over everyones heads. So while you can see your players, you can also see the enemy, and at fairly long distances. At first it really annoyed me because it takes the stealth out of it. But then I realised that this is not a game that allows you to be stealthy in the first place. This is not a game for the so called "campers". I will camp out to protect a flag, but after a few minutes I get bored and wander off to other adventures. Again it would be nice not to have that, but I am over it now.

I love this game for the 360. I played the PC version a ton, and got sick of it. This version has resparked my interest. The single player is fun, but the multi-player really shines. The weapons feel good when fired, especially the rockets. As posted above, there is an issue with being able to detect the enemy from about 100 miles. Your recticle turns red when the enemy is detected, and makes it tough to be stealthy. Another complaint is that I can't seem to figure out how to remap my controls. I don't even think there is an option to do so, and that kind of blows. Overall, however, it is a great game and I find myself returning to this one more so than my other 360 games.

I might give it a try. I've been traumatized ever since I played the Outfit. What a ridiculous POS, not to mention how inaccurate the weapons are.

eewww the outfit. That game is only enjoyable for kids under the age of 14. I can see why you are pissed off.

I cannot tell you to get it, I can only be as objective as possible but if bDaley gives it a thumbs up, and he played it on the PC, well I have to say I was spot on with my review. Very rarely will you see a pc gamer (especially one that played BF2 on it) give any console game love.

Argh, I might have to rethink my stance on not getting a new game until Dead Rising. Maybe a rental -- rentals? What are rentals? ;)

I played the single player for about 2 hours last night. I hated BF2 for the PC.

Let me tell you, this game for the 360 is awesome. I will not be returning it for a long while. I have yet to try the Live gameplay, but I will be doing so all day long tomorrow I predict.

Based on the above ratings, I would give this game a 8.5 Better than Cod2, but not quite GRAW good. That could change though. This game is pretty dang good.

I really like the rating system for single player too.

Good I am glad to see you are liking it ****. I was not overly impressed with the single player only because it was the exact same thing as on the original Xbox. So to me it looked damn good, but that was all I could say on it.

Is that the sniper mission? If so it took me awhile, but you can do it without the cheats. After you kill the rooftop and hill dudes, peg the jeep driver and gunner. You can then hop in the jeep and finish the mission. If you need codes, check out www.gamefaqs.com

dayum! I am almost at the end (where the silos are) - parachuted down, shot while trying to blow up both silos in 10 minutes. I am about ready to give up, how is it possible? granted that my platoon is continually spawned, still, damned hard to get through. How did you guys do it?
