Just got my HSU VTF-3 MK2!
WOW!!!!!
The entire house shakes with bass! I really underestimated how much of a difference it would make in my system. Thanks for all those who posted and helped with the decision. I got it from electronics4less in Markham, Ontario, and I talked to the owner, Mason, who gave me a good deal.
It was between this and PB12 Plus, but it would have been $500 more for the PB12 here in Canada, so I think I made the right choice.
Loving the Bass-time to go watch Darla pound the fishtank in Finding Nemo!

how does it sound with music? a friend is thinking about the pb12+/2. -
I find it to be very tight, and it sounds great with music. Keep in mind that I've never had anything of this quality before. I find it really shines with with HT though, as it has great thump down to 20hz!My HT/Music System:

Congrats, I have the same sub for a couple years now. It's very good sub for music and movie.
Platt, a friend of mine had the original SVS PB12 plus and currently the Hsu VTF3. For movies, the SVS PB plus hit harder than the VTF3, but it's also larger (hence more SPL). For my friend's room, the VTF3 was easier to integrate with music. He used the SV disc, but he could not get the PB12 dial in just right for music, so he dedided to keep the VTF3. This might had been his room-specific. Again, this was the original PB12 plus (which used to be called something else), not the current PB12+. You can't go wrong w/either subs. -
But....."go watch Darla pound the fishtank " ?
Is that what they call it nowadays ?Sal Palooza -

Yea it is code....you got me, but it takes one to know one.;)
If you are looking for a scene with great deep bass though, or just a good all around movie you can't go wrong with Finding Nemo.My HT/Music System:
