I have all Acoustic Research Pro II series interconnects and they are an excellent value -- great quality and reasonable prices. Well reviewed by customers. In the PRO II series AR makes 6', 12' , 25' and 40' Here's a link to their web page --

    http://www.araccessories.com/Cultures/en-US/Recoton+AR/Product+Catalog.htm?ModelNum=PR184&CatalogNavigationBreadCrumbs=Recoton%20-%20Acoustic%20Research;Premium%20Interconnects;PRO%20II%20Series;PRO%20II%20Series;Audio_Video;HDMI&ProductDetail=YES

I bought mine at www.beachaudio.com -- great prices and service -- I recommend them. Unfortunately they just stock the 6' and 12' AR PRO II HDMI cables. But for price comparison the 12' model is about $44.00, so if you can find the 25' version on line somewhere (the model number is PR187) I assume it would be well less than $100.

FWIW -- AR lists Best Buy as one of their dealers, so maybe your local BB has them -- but probably at a much higher price than on line. Good luck.
    AVR: Pioneer Elite VSX-72TXV
    Fronts: Polk R50's (cherry)
    Surrounds: Polk R30's (black)
Center: CSi25 now -- but previously 2 Polk R15's connected in series (a temp setup, but it worked well ;))
    Subwoofer: JBL S120PII 12" 400 watts(rms)
    HDTV: Panasonic TH-42PX25
    STB/DVR: Comcast-Motorola 6412 III
    Universal disk player: Oppo DV-970HD
    CD Jukebox: Pioneer PD-F605
    VCR: JVC HR-A35U
    MP3: iPod 5G 30GB
Headphones: Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro/80, AKG K27i and Sennheiser HD-201

Platt, as with all other cables, HDMI cables as good as any are available at a reasonable cost, although you can also choose to pay ten or more times as much. The MonoPrice cables already mentioned are a good example.

    I have several cables from here;
    http://www.totalsignal.com/
optical, component, digital coaxial and rca in my system. I haven't tried their HDMI cables though, brcause I found the site after I had already purchased mine.
No brand name on them, but they appear to be of good quality materials , and I have had no problems with them.
I buy their pro series if they have two product tiers of a particular cable.

I picked this back up while researching HDMI cables for my new purchase. Has anyone done a comparison test where they upgraded from one cable to another? Of course, John K above will say lamp cord will do, but I don't believe that. Just looking for some definitive input. They all may look great, but if one looks better, that's where I'm at. Within reasonable price, of course.

Er...last thread of what? Don't check this forum too much...anyway, the BJ site has lots of interesting stuff to read...I'd recommend reading thoroughly before buying anything...check audioholics too. Of course, if looks are important, then maybe Cobalt will be better...I'm concerned with performance first and last. Both BJC and Cobalt have money-back guarantees, so maybe get both and decide for yourself (or try anything else with a guarantee...if they don't offer one, I would ask myself 'why?').

So far all my cables are from PureAV. I like their silver coated design. Matches beautifully with my LCD, DVD, HD Sat box, etc. In honest truth I couldn't tell a difference between a regular component cable from dishnetwork and the PureAV component cable. Same thing with their RCA Audio cables versus your factory supplied ones. Oh well, I basically bought it for their design.
