So you've known since at least october 2004 that you wanted one? Very cool to see someone finally get what they've been wanting for so long. It looks pretty amazing and fun.

Thanks...The regular C6 really doesn't do it for me....But the Z06 with the wider fenders makes it look just downright mean

As if it needs wider fenders to back up that engine! :D I'm a die hard Ford man (03 Mach 1 Mustang owner), but would be proud to have a Z06 in my garage!!

You mean you never spin 'em taking off at a light? And you mean to tell me that the ubearable temptation to do so isn't at all hightened when some pimple-faced teenager in a riced-out Civic is sitting beside you at the light, ignorant smile ear-to-ear, revving up his Vtec sounding mean? :p

So, what have you done to it since your initial post? I see that it's lowered quite a bit in the back; is the front lowered, too? What have ya done under the hood? What's your fastest ET so far?

Hehe. I must admit I like the way they look (and sound!), but I just love what Car and Driver or Motor Trend (I forgot which one) had to say about that shaker hood scoop: There's so many twists and turns in the tubing, there ought to be signs in there to tell the incoming air which way to go!

    :D

I pretty much just cruise with it but on some selected roads I do push it.The V-Tech crowd or ricers as we call them know the story behind the car and really don't bother me.The first mod I did was to lower it.Yes the front is lowered to but I guess the pics really don't show it as much as the rear.In a couple of weeks when I have some time I will be installing a cold air induction kit.Long tube headers and a tune. This should net me about 500 rwhp which equals about 588 hp at the motor.I have not taken it to the track yet but I know of some people who are great drivers and hit 11.2 @ 127 mph stock....when I get my mods done I will be hitting the track.

I guess it's nice to be shown some respect like that, but then again, I'd personally like stomping on the Vtec crowd! :D

Cold air induction, lt headers, tune...that'll be sweet. Is the parasitic drivetrain loss really 88hp?! I wouldn't have thought it'd be that high!

Hurry up and do it...I wanna see some pics of you goin' down the strip! lol I still have the pic of your C5 Z06 taking off, with the front wheels almost off the ground.

Stomping on the V-Tech crowd is not worth my gas....The rule of thumb is on the 6-speed the drivetrain loss is about 15%....Oh you remember that pic....that car dead hooked with some sticky tires.

Like someone said, 15% power loss is about average. So when you get really high HP, the HP lost also starts getting high.
