I do quite a bit of drag racing, and I'm trying to spend more time showing my 2003 Mach 1 Mustang this year. I'm an activities director for our local Mustang club too. Best 1/4 mile time has been 12.78 @ 109 with just a few bolt ons with stock tires (5 speed car).

Ah, another Mustang owner. What do you have done to your 05? One of our club members has a 05 auto with a built tranny, stall, and a Vortech and ran 11.4 @ 119 last week! Also have a TT 03 Cobra that has run 9's with stock 6 speed and a couple low 10 second 03 Cobras. Oh, and a 11.90 N/A Mach 1. Memphis is a hotbed of fast Mustangs. :D

Are you going to WFC 9 by chance PolkThug in St. Louis next month?

I'm not a real big mustang guy, but that car is beautiful! Wow. I love the silver look. Very sharp. I know just about nothing in regards to racing them, except if they get up and go. :D It sure looks like that bad boy does.

    I'm workin on it!

Best I've ran so far is 12.58. Every time I go to the track, I get a little bit better time, I'm still learning.

I can't see your pics from work I will try at home.
Oddly enough I was able to get the time off and I am going to Costa Rica with my wife in May. I will be picking up some more sticks while I'm there.

So there's quite a few people around here with that hobby, it seems. Do any of you recommend a forum for newcomers to said hobby to go? I actually took my first safety course the other day, and am looking into getting my permits and whatnot (you'd be amazed how difficult it is in Massachusetts). Would definitely like to find someplace to throw questions and get knowledge from on the topic, kind of like ClubPolk did for my audio knowledge...

Feel free to PM if you're worried about "timeouts" :)
