Received my new CSi3 Tuesday from J&R.

The good: Nice clarity,good sound blends fairly well with my R50s. I'm very happy with it.
Now I hope to have some RTi8s to match by the ened of the year.(thanks for infecting me fellow Polksters);)

The not so good: There is a chip in the wood on one on of the angled edges. The speaker was well packaged in the original Polk box and had the foam paper and styrofoam molds on the ends,so I assume this must have happened at Polk. I guess qualiyty control can't catch everything.
Takes a liitle more power to drive than my 7 year old Sony center.

The best: The Wife noticed the improvement in the sound immediately! :eek:
Spending is justified!:) :)
New speaker..........................................$200.00
Wife noticing improvement.......................PRICELESS
Yes, I'm still excited, even after 3 days of listening.

    anonymouse;
    No damage whatsoever to the box or styrofoam, not even a dent in the box.
    Unless J&R opened it and repacked they didn't cause it.
    It is a very small chip, I can live with it, just have to find one of those pens that match the color of the wood and dab it.

    Guess I am not familar with J&R, but is it not feasible or possible to have them swap it out for you? I would hate for you to be even a bit unsatisified with a new purchase.
