Component cable splitting

Does any one know if there is a huge disadvantage of splitting a component cable from a dvd player going to two 32 LCD TV's 15 ft away? My other option is 2 HDMI cables with a splitter and that is expensive.

What do you plan on splitting it with? If you're thinking y-connectors, it probably won't work. A cheap distribution amp should do the trick just fine.

If you have no loss of picture quality, and your satisifed with the setup, go for it. The other option is an A/B switching box. It will cost about $20, you can even get one with a remote for more money. I don't think there is any advantage of doing it this way.

Rock on, then. The signal is based on voltage, so splitting the signal keeps the same voltage on each wire... However, you half the current and make each line more prone to noise. Some DVD player can push that, most can't. So- if you switch out your DVD player or TV and suddenly things don't work so hot, then you'll have to invest in the DA.

the noise would be the only real concern there...i would just go with the dhmi provided that they actually work in your system...but that's my personal opinion.
