5.1 surround speakers (LSiFXs) placement?

Hi all,

What is the best placement for LSiFXs; side (dipole) or rear (bipole)?

    My HT room is almost square so the distance is not so good.

    The side left LSiFX is 7' and the right LSiFX is 14' from the listener. Or the rear left LSiFX is 10' and the right LSiFX is 10' from the listener.

    I typically prefer side walls, slightly behind you for a 5.1 setup. However, since it seems like your seating arrangement to the room is not too symmetrical, I would probably opt for the rear wall position.
