Hi Footwedge. No the 1095 will not be overkill. If you can afford it get it!Marantz AV-7705 PrePro, Classé 5 channel 200wpc Amp, Oppo 103 BluRay, Rotel RCD-1072 CDP, Sony XBR-49X800E TV, Polk S60 Main Speakers, Polk ES30 Center Channel, Polk S15 Surround Speakers SVS SB12-NSD x2

Should be fine for the lsi7s. However, if you ever plan on upgrading to more demanding speakers, I suggest you consider the 1095. For instance, 1075 does not drive lsi15s very well. I guess you can always add a larger 2ch amp later.....that is another option....System 1: Martin Logan Vantage, Rotel RC 1070, B&K Reference 200.2, Music Hall DAC 15.2, Yamaha 2300
System 2: LSi15 w/db840, Marantz SR8400, Rotel 1080, RM6800 (C&S), Sony X2020ES
System 3: LSi7, Yamaha SW215, Music Hall Maven, Music Hall MMF CD25 w/627opamps
System 4: RTi100, Harman Kardon AVR 230, Panasonic DVD -

I lurked a while before I posted too
Its hard to overkill anything in the LSi line, they just love the power, even the 7's. the 9's I had loved the 500watts from my carver, only when I tried to get it rediculously loud did it show signs of strain. at all listenable levels, the LSi's showed they appreciated every drop of power they get.
get the 1095, you'll be fine. for what seems to be a little more, youll have a more versatile amp down the road powerwise. i.e. in better shape if you get...say...bigger LSi's.Living Room 2 Channel -

I'm so busy doing yard work (completely redoing shrubs and sod) that I don't have time to play like I use too . I do miss the game; and, of course "THE" tournament will start tommorrow; can't wait. If you are ever in LA (lower alabama/mobile), maybe we could tee it up.
Thanks to all for the advice. -
I'm not sure there is overkill with the LSis.

I have a 7.1 setup and use the Rotel 1075 for the center and rear surrounds and the Rotel 1080 for the L/R channels. I am running Rti10's, so not as demanding as the Lsi's, but I'm very happy with the sound. If your decision is between those 2 amps, I would go with the 1095. The bigger the better. The 1075/1080 combo would cost you about the same as the 1095, but getting more power means you probably won't have to upgrade any time soon.

I used to live in Huntsville. I've played several of the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail, but not the ones that far south. Maybe someday, though.:)"SOME PEOPLE CALL ME MAURICE,
