Crossover confusion

My receiver, (Sony STR-DA4ES), has crossover adjustments for each individual channel. I was wondering if a global setting of let's say 80Hz would be more advisable or should each channel be crossed over according to each speaker's capabilities?

Oh, and by the way, I got my SVS PB-10 ISD the other day!! Yeah baby!!

    Some use a cutoff point lower on their front stage if the speakers can handle it to center more bass in front of the listener. This can be a solution if the sub position is less than optimal. 80 hz is a great starting point for all setups and few find themselves needing any setting higher than that if they have capable speakers,
