RM202 enough for center?

Viewers will be from 7-12ft away. Room is about 15'x15'. Center channel will have to go on a mantle less than 7" deep. Can't do inwall because of some weird construction behind mantle. RM302 is out of my price range so it's either the 202 or just use the R50 mains as a phantom center. That or another brand center? Also, which surround would match better, RC60 or RC80i? Thanks for any suggestions.
