Music Bass cd...

anyone know of any Bass CD to test out my HT sub?
i went to BestBuy and one of the sales guy let me listen to some high to low..low bass, and it goes something like this ( are you ready to go lower *BASS* and then do you wanna go lowerrr *BASS*) and i asked him what cd that was and he had no idea..

so anyone here know of any good testing cd that have good amount of bass please let me know....

    Bass test tones will be a warble tone and not a continuous single frequency. A continuous low frequncy test tone will cause damage to a sub. The on-board test tones used in most receivers/pre-amps are adequate for determining the peak bass set point.

    As far as good music or movies, we've covered that one a number of times, use the SEARCH button and you'll find numerous threads on the subject. A couple that come to mind (just to get you started) U-571 (Depthcharge Attack) or Blueman Group DVD-A .

    its old school but it will show you what bass is all about DJ MAGIC MIKE..any album will do......becareful you dont blow your speakers. the cd has a warning label about blowing your speakers. its awsome basssss

    There are many CD's out there with test tones, one of them is BASS 305 Anthology

    Try the Kansas concert DVD, incredile bass on that soundtrack.

    I use Darkcity soundtrack to test subwoofers.
    It's an excellent recording with very well defined bass.
    Another recording i use (actually 1 track)is bjork homogenic 1st track, hunter. lots of synthesized bass.
    Yello one second is another great recording with lots of bass.
