High Pass Crossover Point for MMC6500s?

I was just curious what should I set the high pass crossover point to for my MMC6500s? My crossover is adjustable with a 24dB per octave slope.

I assume one of my available options below would be appropriate:
  • High Pass Off
  • 63Hz
  • 70Hz
  • 78Hz
  • 87Hz
  • 99Hz

For what it's worth, the overall frequency response for the MMC6500s is 43Hz - 25kHz.

the short answer is 'depends'... if you have a sub, i'd start with the sub's xover at 80 Hz and the components' xover at the same, and play with slopes and points till it sounds good...

if you have just the components, you can go as low as the 63 Hz (not 'off'!) and be fine, but the lower you go, the more SPL you'll be trading off in the process - that's a personal decision...

That's exactly that answer I was looking for, and essentially what I was thinking.

    Thanks neo!
