Ok, uh, let's try this: What do you currently do and why aren't you happy with it?

What I'm getting at is that depending on your desired position, experience, and current situations, your documents may have different needs.

Currently? I work for a company called, Cornerstone America selling insurance. I was a cop, then moved into sales. Now I am self-employed, remodeling houses on the side. I don't like the sales side of things at all. I Understand that a resume will differ depending on the needs, but right now, I don't even know what direction I'm walking. I'm just walking :) Sounds scary..

I'm not happy because I don't like bothering people on the phone pushing insurance, when they are more than likely just content where they are. I'm not a pushy sales kinda guy at all. So that's where I am.

Does that help? I am attempting to move into an entry-level management position, either in a business world or a financial world. That's about as far as I know right now.

I just finished a "Career path test thingy-mabob" and it said that I should be a writer. Nice.

    That's helpful ;)

'Entry Level' and 'Management' aren't usually terms used in the same sentence unless you're talking McDonalds or some kind of big chain retail store.

Yeah, only management I could see would have to do with something you have already done like insurance. I might focus on that and then branch out a bit into other fields.

Ditto on the management jobs, but MickeyD's, HD, etc., are good training grounds. With your home repair experience, why not consider HD, Lowes, etc.?

As for writing... there is more than just books/ mags/ dailies to consider. There is also PR, advertising, broadcast news. And there are any number of writing related jobs at all the above, e.g., fact checking, proofing. Suggest as a part of your writing related search that you seek out job fairs and get a better feel for what's out there.

    Be patient and good luck...
