Wow, my girl is gone, and the neighbor that lives below me too. So, I really got to give my 7500 a little run. Had the 990 set to BYPASS with the towers to large, Cambridge CDP, got her up to -20 listening to a Jimi blues song. Sounded awesome. Your ears get used to it like a concert, so I moved her up to -15, still sounded amazing. Couch was shaking from the bass guitar. I only wish I could do this more often.
This configuration makes me miss tubes a little less all the time.

    THE Outlaw 990 pre does sound quite amazing in 2 channel only mode. I have been very impressed as well.

    good on you for getting some "free" time to do some enjoyable listening.
