howdy Deron, welcome to Club Polk. It sounds like to me the problem is in your new computers sound card. The Polk's aren't getting the juice/watts they require to sound decent. Why don't you just buy a set of nice computer speakers to that kind of duty?

Check your audio controls. One of the volumes is probably set to low. Right click on the speaker icon and bring up "open volume control". Make sure they are all set to the middle at least.
