(sold)
I have recently upgraded to an Outlaw 990/7500 combo and would now like to hand off my Onkyo TX-DS797. I have had this for a few years and it has served me well. It is a 6.1 receiver and can accommodate 7.1 if you use pre-outs. THX certified, 192 kHz/24 Bit D/A converters, and more. I’ll let you take a glance at page 6 of the manual; it lists all its features.
I purchased the Circuit City extended service plan / transferable warranty which still has time left on it, until 5/18/2007. I am the original owner, bought in 2002. The unit itself is basically spotless. No blemishes. 100% functional.
The remote is a learning remote and fully functional, actually like it better than my 990 remote. I would describe it as works perfect but definitely broken in. All accessories will be included (unit, remote, FM antenna, AM antenna, manual, and receipt/warranty).
I have packaged I believe to safe standards for shipping. I do not have the original box, but it has been wrapped in bubble wrap, then a plastic cover, sealed in a Dell box that my computer was shipped in, then double-boxed with Styrofoam crammed tight everywhere. The remote and antennas will be in a zippered Outlaw bag (like when you buy their cables) in a separate box stuffed with foam peanuts. For shipping estimates from 63101, box dimensions are 23” x 23” x 20” and weighs roughly 50lbs. Once I have a purchaser, I will calculate shipping to the buyer’s zip code and we can finalize the deal via PM.
I’d like $old, PayPal or money order. Unit will be shipped the day following receipt of payment.
Thanks for looking. Let me know if you have any questions.

Excellent Receiver, I have the same one. I would not replace it until the new digital technology get's out.

Hmmm. Maybe I should use it as a backup. ( just a Thought)

$250.00? bummer, I had hoped mine would be worth more than that when I finally sold it.
I have seen them go for $300.00-$350.00 on e-bay.
