Just ran across them accidentally while looking for something else. Anyone have any experience with these? Sounds like they might be OK for movies after the kids go to bed, etc.

OK - No one bit on the 5.1 phones. How about wireless technology? I'm looking at some Sennheisers. Any opinions on the RS130 model?Husband, Father, Son, Brother, Friend.

Just go with a good pair of regular headphones. Late night two channel on your head is better than some gimmicky 5.1 can set up.
Supposedly the wireless Senns are very good, but not as good as their better wired solutions. -
Obviously wired is better. I was thinking about the cord across the room. May be I should worry about quality vs. convenience. Thanks for the sanity check.Husband, Father, Son, Brother, Friend.

If you need to be mobile, then consider wireless. But when is the last time you watched a movie or played a video game all over the house? Generally you are sitting down in one spot. I wouldn't worry about the wire. Sennheiser's cables are pretty dang long too.

The Sennheiser HD595 model is the most appealing to me. The MSRP is $289.95, but there are a few sites selling for large discounts like $161.00 + shipping. Has anyone dealt with shipdog.com or compuplus.com before? Thanks in advance for your advise.Husband, Father, Son, Brother, Friend.

JVC just released a surround processor for headphones....it will do Dolby Headphone, Dolby Pro-Logic II and Dolby Digital. About $130.00 and you can use the headphones of your choice.

Here's a link to Danny's comment.... JVC Headphone Surround Processor. This is something that I've already planned on picking up since CES, as it sounds neat. Marantz has offered Dolby Headphone output for a little longer I think, but only in the full size CDP/DVD.
APC - I've owned a pair of wireless Sennheisers....I think the HD65, since discontinued, and they weren't too bad for short area listening. I gave them to my Dad because he likes to be wireless and they were much better than the Koss he was previously using. I have zero need to walk around while listening to headphones, so the idea didn't compell me to buy another pair.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint. -
Cool, it has optical in. I might get one now too.
