How much is enough power for SVS CS subs?

Hi,
I am going to purchase some amplification for my twin SVS 20-39 subs. SVS puts a 320 watt into 4 ohm amp with the PCi. Am I losing anything by powering these things more economically by using a used two channel power amp like a 2200PE (180 wpc) or Adcom 545 (150 wpc)? How much is enough, and how much is overkill?

When the power doubles, you increase the DB by 3.
If the SVS sub puts out 110db (not really sure what the PCi line puts out - number is just for example) at 320 watts, it will put out 107 at 160 watts.
I won't even go into the quality aspect of the bass. Just like any other speaker, a good quality amp can control the woofer better making for a better, more defined sound. (provided you believe the whole - amps sound different thing, if not - just read the first couple lines again and pretend the message stops there..... )
