Attention Soundbar owners

I'm setting up a small room in a Florida villa (retirement community) and I will be buying a Soundbar for HT setup. Will probably buy from Crutchfield to get the free sub.
Question: what type receiver (warm, bright) is best for this speaker setup. Looking to keep receiver cost below $600.00. Refurbs O.K.

    Lots of Harmon Kaardon fans here, Denon too. I used to like Onkyo, but not lately. any one of those, within budget, will do you fine with the sound bar
