I had one of these when I was in college. I bought it in 1974, powered some LaFayette Electronics "Criterion 6" speakers. I owned it until about 1994. When my 1st marriage ended I gave it to my kids who remained with their mother. Eventually all the lights burned out, switches broke, it still worked but it was in shambles. I gave it to a friend of mine who repaired it and gave it away. I've been watching these come and go on eBay for a couple of years. When this one showed up with a "Buy it Now" option, I pulled the trigger.

Beautiful condition! No nicks or scratches. It was thoroughly cleaned. All lights and functions work. Knobs turn smoothly with no static. I have it in my workshop powering a pair of RTi28's I got from Okiepolkie. I have the tone set flat and it has a nice warm and powerful sound. I have an old CDP hooked up to it. But this amp give me the opportunity to get back into some vinyl again:D

I'm looking for a wooden case for this. If you have any leads, let me know!

Nice! I have a 2230 powering an old pair of Advent Graduates and using one of my ex-CDP's as source. Sometimes I think it sounds better than the main rig.

    That is sweet. Nice catch!
    If...
Ron dislikes a film = go out and buy it.
Ron loves a film = don't even rent.
