Right now I am currently running an old set of Bose 701's/161's with an LSic-center. My rears have a terrible "hum" to them and I am looking at replacing them. At first I was interested in the fxi5. After listening to some of the RM series(6800 & 6900) I was wondering about replacing my fronts and rears with these and using the included center for a rear center(using an Onkyo 701receiver). I was highly impressed with the sound that these "small" speakers produce. I am however slightly concerned with 2-channel stereo through them when strictly listening to music. Just looking for suggestions.

Thanks,
James

The hum may be in the electronics rather than in the speakers.
