Building AI-1. Have concern.

I have everything I need to start in terms of direction. I only have one concern that someone may be able to pacify me on.
I have seen a few different isolation transformers mentioned, including some posts that state people weren't having luck with them. Not sure if this was the transformer at fault or the builder. I haven't seen a post that says a build was successful and the results are just as good as a straight cable on the same common ground amp (which will be my litmus test for success).
My main concern is that these isolation transformers are designed for power conversion (60Hz). I noticed on the Newark site they also have 1:1 Audio transformers and include a spec for frequency response that the isolation transformers dont even both with. My concern is that the isolation transformers being recommended may not work well at the higher midrange frequencies the SDA drivers work at.
I don't have any real world experience with this. Just asking the question. Has anyone done the above litmus test with, say, a Stancor P-6411 or P-6412. A source on the forum recommends the 6412 . It has a higher power rating than the 6411 (which is also recommended).

I haven't done mine yet but I don't think you will have a problem with frequency response. One thing to keep in mind is that you may end up having to swap the polarity of one cable or the other. Apparently the way that looks like it makes the most sense to wire it is not the proper way. You wont hurt anything trying it wired improperly but the SDA will not sound right. You will have to just give it a try.

Robert,
You'll find a successful build here, http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23442&highlight=stancor
The P-6412 is a 1:1 transformer as it neither steps up nor steps down.Political Correctness'.........defined

Thanks a *TON* F1NUT. I saw this post before but never read all the way through to the resolution. It answers all my questions about the transformer.
Since I am going to the trouble of building one of these, building a couple more would be a snap once I've hacked one out. Since I couldn't have done it without all you, I'd make them for cost (including shipping). Anyone interested?
FYI. I'll be using the 6412 transformer.Jolida Tube

hi
how do you make a AI-1 cable?
