I just downloaded and intalled yahoo's instant messenger. So far it looks fairly simple and straight forward. But I do have one question: Can I search for a user by their name? I don't know their user name or their email address, just their 'real' name.

Thanks.

    Thanks for the fast response.

Not a lot of people use yahoo for anything other then webcams. It's not the best program from what I've seen, and caused some problems with my dad's computer.

You could always find the people on club polk with a little "Y!" under their name :)

You can go to Yahoo's Member Search page, and find their Yahoo member ID. Yahoo member ID == Yahoo messenger ID. Voila.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

Can I be longed into yahoo messenger under more than one s/n? For instance, I have 3 for AIM: one for personal, one for audio, and one for video games. So far I only have two setup for yahoo. Can I be logged into both of them at the same time?

    Thanks.

I use GAIM, which supports Yahoo messenger, and I can be logged into as many as I want through that.

Not sure about the actual Yahoo! Messenger program though.

Ok, cool. That means I didn't need to delete one of my email accounts so I can then create a profile with that name...*sigh*

I wonder if I can use GAIM for AIM and Yahoo! simultaneously...as I'm already using it for AIM.

    Thanks for the help.

I just logged into my Yahoo Messenger account with GAIM while logged into four of my AIM accounts with GAIM. Wow. GAIM is an awesome program!

Well, since I have now unnecessarily deleted my audiobliss69 account with Yahoo!, and it won't yet let me create one with it (they say it takes 90 days for them to delete an account), what new s/n can I come up with that keeps the audiobliss 'base'?

I guess I could just tack on some different numbers, but I'd rather it be something that makes some sense. I'm at a loss...

    AudioBlissPolk?
    BlissfulAudio?
    AudioBlissNC?

And yes, GAIM rules. I use it for both my AIM screennames and my Yahoo one.

No, no. You couldn't be more wrong. 'audiobliss', unfortunately, was already taken. The 69, both in audiobliss69 and carmike692000, refer to the '69 Camaro.

You should've known something about cars would be behind it! :p
