Richard--Thank you for your kind words, they do matter and show when members work together things can turn out right. Its a club not e-bay not craig list, eff those that dont think so. I only did what I should do.
Ted you're welcome you earned it!
Something I thought I might mention about this whole mess is how FEDEX made me return the speakers to the claims department! That's right, they refused to come out to my house to inspect them even though I only live about 10 miles from them! They made the process very difficult as I had to call the 1-800 number which is in Texas [I live in Calif] and transfer my call to claims here in Carson. They wouldn't give me a number in Carson to call so each time I needed to call them I had to explain the whole thing over again to someone different. I owned until recently a small business for 15 years and over that time I have dealt with FEDEX/UPS a few times and they were always happy to come out to my store and check out any merchandise that was damaged in shipping. After talking to several supervisors and finally a manager they flat told me that if I didn't send the speakers back that there would be no claim and that they didn't have any claims adjusters that would come to my house! So, I reluctantly sent them back with the reassurance of the manager that they would be handled with care! Well, when FEDEX returned them to me they had acquired some more damage because they just put the factory boxes UNSEALED into the outer boxes without the packing and everything just loose and banging around! The oak cap on one cabinet now had a ding in one corner that it didn't have when I sent it back to them! It's a good thing I got the reassurance from the manager at the the Carson facility that they would be careful with them or no telling what they would have done to them! Geez! There is another lesson to be learned here and that is..they [FEDEX] don't care about your property and they will lie to you!!!!!
