I know nothing about turntables but I find myself wanting to get one. I've got $100 in Best Buy gift cards and this is $133...

Sony turntables are crap (IMHO)

If you have the bucks...try to find any model of Technics (Far superior). That is my recommendation

I would use that money for something else in BB. Keep your eyes on Audio Advisor, Hot Buys and Clearance, for a nice turntable.

Keep in mind, you can also use your Best Buy gift cards at the Magnolia Home Theater stores in Best Buy. If you have one near you, check it out. I don't know what they have as far as turntable selection, but its worth a look.

Ron, I have one I'm not using you can have if you'd like. It's not god's gift to turntables or anything, but someone might as well be using it. It's a Technics that retailed for just under $300 a few years ago. I think I have a couple years warranty left on it too. PM me your address if you'd like it. Then you can use your gift cards for movies or a Blu-Ray player in couple months.
