hey guys i have a couple of questions. I am using a hk avr 335 with rti 6s as the rears rti 10s or 8s as the fronts im still deciding that, csi5 center and the psw505 sub. Will my hk do this setup justice? My second question is on my the towers, I have the psw505 so i dont need a lot of bass coming from the towers would i be better off getting the rti8s because i hear they have a better midrange or should i do the rti 10s? Any help would be great Thanks!!

The HK will be weak for 10s on high volume passages. They like more power.

I like the RTi10's. Can you preview them somewhere that has the HK 335?

I have the 335 with the 8's and find it's a great set up. Mind you I will be looking for an ext. amp in the near future.

I believe that RTi 10 sounds better than 8's ... but, i think in the "price-quality" relation is better Rti8's ...

this is allways the big debate, yor going to get opinions either way. at least you know that either way, your not going wrong.

if you think your going to use them alot for music, then get the 10's, down the road with future upgrades like seperate amplification, youll get more mileage out of them. but if your predominantly home theater movies only, the 8's will be fine too.

others will disagree, I'll tell you they sound quite different to me, so get your ears on both as much as possible to help you decide.

If you have a low ceiling or hard surfaces I would avoid the 8's. They are quite bright, even though they image extremely well.

I have rti8s, csi3, rti4s, with a Denon 1804 and an SVS 25-31. I love crisp highs, I've never found them to be too bright. We are about a 50/50 split between music and tv/movies. The csi5 & rti6 with either the rti8s or rti10 sounds great! I went with the rti4s because they're on stands and I was concerned about them being knocked over by my kid's, now 5 and 7 (it hasn't happened in almost 2 years). Wish I'd gone for the csi5 based on comments here, but I haven't been disappointed.
