I'm buying that little Raddii from Russ 8wpc tube push pull (a future question will be...what does push pull mean )
anyway, I'm looking at my currrent speakers and wondering what would be best to run with it.
I have a pair of B&W DH550 bookshelves I am currently usinf with my Dodd pre and Sonic impact amp (dont laugh, this rig sounds surprisingly good, but no low end). Since the Radii will replace the sonic inpact, the B&W's are obviously on the list, but at 86db efficiancy, I know I can do better
I also have RT55's and LS90's, would it be kosher to use them, they actually have higher efficiency ratings but are bigger speakers, any comments as to wether it will be kosher or not?

I would think the RT55s would be the best of the 3 since they have the highest efficiency and are still a smaller speaker. I would think the LS90s and the B&Ws would be about a toss up. But I wouldn't be afraid to try any of them. I think it's amazing what little amps like that can do.
Just my .02 worth.
Congrats and ENJOY!

Spend more money.

One of my goals is to build a SET rig using these unless some peep beats me to it. Then I will just build something else.!!

I'd try em all and see which does the best job. Don't always look at the specs."SOME PEOPLE CALL ME MAURICE,

Damn, dude... don't buy those! Go to madisound, pick up the drivers brand new for $160 and build some better cabinets yourself. If nothing else, they're using the wrong drivers for a bass reflex- those are FE206's which are good for BL horns, TL's and Voight pipes.
EDIT:
Ok, so fostex does have plans for them in a bass reflex- It's the sigmas that won't work well there...

I found my SDA1Cs to sound much better on my ASL AV20s than my RT55s. The 55s pulled much more out of the amp than the bigger box speakers. I would hook them up to everything you own, even the Amazings to hear what the low wattage can do. We rarely get the chance anymore to see how tube power can be different and the right match can be lots of fun. I think the synergy of a tube amp with right speakers makes more difference than with solid state.HT Optoma HD25 LV on 80" DIY Screen, Anthem MRX 300 Receiver, Pioneer Elite BDP 51FD Polk CS350LS, Polk SDA1C, Polk FX300, Polk RT55, Dual EBS Adire Shiva 320watt tuned to 17hz, ICs-DIY Twisted Prs, Speaker-Raymond Cable

Yeah, the Fostex are fun to play with- They'll go every bit as loud as my LSi's but do it on only 80 watts. They're ideal for low powered tubes...
Everything I've done has been ugly as hell MDF, but they sound great- especially female vocals.Gallo Ref 3.1 : Bryston 4b SST : Musical fidelity CD Pre : VPI HW-19

If I get sick of playing with these Fostex's I'll be sure to pass them on to the forum- Right now I've got the 8" ones in my sig, plus the FE168 sigma's that only work in BL horns. At some point the wife is gonna get sick of itGallo Ref 3.1 : Bryston 4b SST : Musical fidelity CD Pre : VPI HW-19

The LS90's are pretty efficient and they only use 6 1/2" drivers so I think you'd be fine with those.2 channel - Willsenton R8 tube integrated, Holo Audio Spring 3 KTE DAC, audio optimized NUC7i5, Windows 10 Pro/JRiver MC29/Fidelizer Plus 8.7 w/LPS and external SSD drive, PS Audio PerfectWave P3 regenerator, KEF R3 speakers, Rythmik F12SE subwoofer, Audioquest Diamond USB cable, Gabriel Gold IC's, Morrow Audio SP5 speaker cables. Well, the Amazings are power hungry. REAL power hungry.
Trying to get them to perform will probably overdrive the amp, and distort. If the distortion doesn't kill the ribbons, it won't drive eight 12 inch woofers... -
the platinums are 8 ohms, but they still require alot of power to get em moving. sometimes it seems like my carver 4.0 works real hard during certain parts of music, the power meters really start dancinLiving Room 2 Channel -
