Because of the crappy weather last weekend, the wife & I rented a bunch of movies and hunkered down:

1. Pride & Prejudice: Good, I liked it, serious chick flick, but good story.
2. Weather Man: ahhh, well, ummm. WE shut it off 1/2 into the movie.
3. Two for the MONEY: Cool, but your typical Al Pacino "I'll be your mentor" film
4. Corpse Bride: shut it off 15 minutes into it. PPFFFFTTTTTT
5. North Country: Chick-power movie, pretty good, albeit predictable, I enjoyed it.

I should try to do this.
Just a real quick review of the movies is cool.
I watch alot of movies but never have the words or the memory to write a long review.
I can't say I have ever turned off a movie I was watching but I have walked away and putzed around while I watched it in the background.
Thanks for the quickie Steve. :D

I didn't mind Corpse Bride but it was so similar to Nightmare before Christmas that I kept having to remind myself it was a different film. Music was VERY similar.

Agree Pride and Prejudice was good but not as good as some reviews indicated and definitely not Oscar material for Keira. PBS version of Pride.. with Colin Firth still the best of the various versions. Definitely worth seeing if you haven't.

The music may have been similar, and obviously the animation was similar, but I love Nightmare Before Christmas, and Corpse Bride put me to sleep. Ugh. I had such high hopes for it too.

No argument. Nightmare was/is a classic. Corpse was OK only. If you had never seen Nightmare you probably would have a higher opinion of Corpse. Its a re-tread movie.
