Can you help me identify this center? I purchased it in mid 1995 along with my 10's which I am using for my fronts. I have 2 M3's that I use for my rears...I obviously need more power for my rear...front is a bit heavy :D Anyhow, the sticker came off this from the heat of my big screen that it sat on, and for the life of me I cannot remember the model. Any help you can give is greatly appreciated.

The (4) mid's had a sticker on them that said MW4850 and they are 5" ea.
The tweeter is a tri-lam 3 1/2"
The dimensions are 26" w x 10.5" d x 6.5" h

Thanks in advance if you can help !!

    That's no joke. It's amazing how guru's appear out of thin air when you mention them. Imagine my surprise after typing a response and seeing BDT beat me to it. Ah well, I guess we have no chance until we get our own magic carpets. :D

    Looks like the dampening material is blocking one of your ports, I dont believe that is the way its designed as air should move from it, may have shifted try moving it a bit and see if the speaker will not play down a bit deeper.

    Thanks for the welcome...I am a happy poster at many forums so am used to the "****" statements...always happens. We can't ALL be as thmawt ath you Bassaholic..but thomeday maybe...lol

    I have it set up with my 10's as the fronts...any recommends on a good rear set to go with this? I have some little M3's on the wall...but obviously the front TOTALLY overpowers these.

    Thanks reel for the advice, I will do that immediately and check the difference.

    Peace All

    Can you adjust the channel volume with your receiver/processor? If you are able to get the M3's volume to closer match the front and center, this option won't cost anything. The M3's can handle 100w and do a good job as surrounds. Do you have a subwoofer?

    If you decide that you want new surrounds, you have many options. Have a look through this HT guide and let us know which type you are thinking of. http://www.polkaudio.com/downloads/hthandbook.pdf More here: http://www.polkaudio.com/education/index.php

    * mounted flush in the wall?
    * wall mounted small speakers?
    * a bookshelf speaker on a pedestal?
    * a floor standing speaker that is tall and narrow?
    * a speaker that is wide and short (like your Monitor 10's)?

    Troy, dump the sugar substitute labeled "PC" next to the coffee.

    Bassaholic, not too long ago you would have been keelhauled for a comment like that. Get used to the fact that not everyone spits out a direct answer, some have humor, and others are trying. If you don't like it, change the channel.

    What are you using to power all of this? If it's a receiver, some of them send less power to surrounds.
