am i doing something wrong? Web links now show the entire web address. instead of just the hyperlink... is this new now?

no it still works, just the prompt for you to enter the text for the URL no longer appears. You used to get two prompts, one for the text and the other for the URL, now you just get the one for the URL. When you add a link, just replace the second iteration of the URL in your post with the text...like this:
[hURL="http://www.woot.com"]http://www.woot.com[/hURL] becomes
[hURL="http://www.woot.com"]Woot[/hURL]
remove the h's of course... -
