what amp???

allright im buyin a 12 inch polk momo and im putting it in my ford ranger my question is what amp will give me the best sound and make my sub hit.price is not a prob.its between a Kenwood KAC-7202 or Profile AP1000.thx

    A MM2124 is rated to handle 400 RMS. Thats the size of amp you should be looking at.

    Out of the two brands you listed, I like Profile best.

    ya i know but i cant find a amp on crutchfield that 400 thats around 200 i think the closest was a like 500 bucks.but if i got the profile and turned the gain around half it should be ok shouldent it

    The AP1000 is a good choice. It makes 480x1 at 4 ohms which while being more than the sub is rated, with proper gain adjustment and some commone sense with the volume youll be just fine.

    or how about this get 2 12 inch momo and a ap2000 puts 2x480 at 2 ohm rms and 2x320 at 4ohm rms so i could push 320 to each and be fine and would still sound good right???

    Can you get DVC momo subs? if so get dual 4 ohms and wire them to 2 ohms to send 480 rms to each one, but keep the gain LOW, because as far as I know momos don't like to be overpowered if you're going to crank up your rig all day long...
