is it important to have all the speakers the same in a 7.1 setup. Reason i ask is that i am thinking of doing a 7.1 with (5)LC265i and 2 Niles inwall FX speakers. I know the tweaters are different but was curious if that would make a difference since it is side affect? Also is it ok to have the center vertical vs. Horizontal?

It's not set in stone but is a good rule of thumb to have all speakers timbre matched.

You're OK as long as the front soundstage matches.

the back surrounds i've found to not be as important for EXACT timbre; but still get as close as you can.
