Currently I don't use a sub, but when I did, I had unfiltered output to both the LSi25's and the sub. So the speakers were set to large, sub "On" and no crossover in the processor. The LSi's amps are crossed over at about 80hz (Figure out where you want this with the seperate sub turned off), then I brought the sub in LOW, like 40hz using the crossover on the sub. All sub info was routed by my processor to both the mains AND the sub.

I'm running my SVS of the Front preouts as described in this writeup. I have the fronts set to large and the LFE or subout on the receiver set to "Off".

This configuration does enable you to use the sub for 2 channel listening if you desire. I think it provides for a little better bass management from the crossover on the sub. The SVS has a variable knob vs the preset selections on the receiver or DVD player. I set the crossover on my sub to 50 - 60 Hz for music and higher on movies if I want it.
