Speaker Location Question

Hi all,
I just bought 2 LC65i in-wall speakers and can't figure out where to put them in my living room. the logical choice is to point them out from the front wall, toward the open space (which leads into the kitchen area so it is a long open space (24 feet and about 12 feet wide). But that wall is almost all glass. I can put them on their side and fit them above the windows or very low (with a high probably of furniture getting in the way). Is there any reason not to put them up so high, as they would be within a foot of the ceiling.
the other option is to put them on the side walls facing toward the middle of the room but that doesn't seem ideal.
any suggestions would be very helpful.
thanks in advance,
Tim

Welcome to the forum Tim.
Let me ask a couple questions about your new system.
What is your overall goal of your whole system?(are you wanting good stereo sound or are they meant more for background music)
Can you post a diagram of your room and probable locations of the speakers.
There are probably other questions as well, but that would help to get me started.Tschüss

In an ideal situation you'd want them at ear level on the same wall. It's probably better to have them above ear level than too low, if you had to go that route.
Do you have any pictures of your room or even a sketchy drawing in paint? It might help us visualize your room a little better. -
I have attached a sketch of the room. the squares on the wall signify windows. I think the speakers have some adjustability so if they are above ear height they can be pointed down?
compounding the problem if I put them above the window I would have to put them sideways. i could put them on facing walls or both on one wall, but it seems like I would want them facing out toward the kitchen.
anyway, any suggestions would be appreciated. i know that none of the solutions will be ideal for an audiophile but the reallity is that we live in a small house with one kid and another on the way and we need to save space on the floor as much as possible.
thanks,
Tim
