In my current system (SRS 3.1 and monitor 5's and 4.6's) I have a sub by I believe DCM 10" powered sub that I've never been very happy with it's performance. Wanted to get some opinions of sub's that would fit into my polk family.

Sony DVP-70 DVD
Dish 611 HD DVR
Polk SRS 3.1 mains
Polk Monitor 4.6 series 2 Side surrounds

SVS PCi 20-89 Sub

Sony DVP-70 DVD
Dish 611 HD DVR
Polk SRS 3.1 mains
Polk Monitor 4.6 series 2 Side surrounds
Polk Monitor 5Jr Rear surrounds
Polk CS-350 Center

Subs are subs are subs, you don't need a 'match' with your main speakers, you just need a good solid sub period.
Too wide a question the way you posed it.
If you buy anything from this place, you won't regret it.

was looking at those earlier. Also at the Outlaw audio LFM-1. Price preference would be around 500-700 range.HT System:

I love my SVS 25-31PCi, far exceeds what I expected for the price. Search on SVS here and see all the info on the various models from tubes to cubes and what the power options are.
I went with the 25-31PCi because I wanted it with more of an emphasis on music range production and because of my budget vs the PC+ version. I've been very happy.Harman Kardon AVR-435 Receiver
